STORING YOUR GEL:
Remove the lid and cover your seamoss gel with cheesecloth or foil upon receiving your gel. Poke a few holes in the foil to allow your gel to breathe. Sea Moss is a living organism that needs to breathe to thrive. If you do not allow your gel to live (breathe), it will shorten its shelf life, causing your gel to go rancid. You can also remove the lid and store your gel in the fridge uncovered.
USING YOUR SEA MOSS GEL: (Internally)
Add a tbsp of seamoss gel to your smoothies or juices. When making smoothies, add your fruit, a tbsp of sea moss, your homemade milk, dairy-free milk, OR water and blend. When making juices, add a tbsp of gel to your juicer after you’ve juiced your other ingredients. You can also make sea moss gel ice blocks by adding gel to your ice tray and freezing it as you would water to ice. Use your moss ice whenever you’re making smoothies from fresh fruit instead of frozen fruit.
When drinking spring water, simply add a block of gel ice to your water and consume it.
Replace your cooking oils with sea moss gel when sauteing your vegetables. You can also use your sea moss gel as a substitute for butter when cooking or baking.
Make yourself an “Irish Moss” Drink. The recipe can be found at https://www.beasmartvegan.com/post/easy-irish-moss-recipe
If you’re bold enough, simply consume a tbsp of sea moss by itself first thing in the morning, in the afternoon, and again in the evening.
USING YOUR SEA MOSS GEL: (Externally)
Add the gel to your shampoo and/or shower gel.
Use as a facial mask by applying 2-3 tbsps of Sea Moss Gel to a clean face for about 20 minutes. The minerals and moisture rejuvenate the skin giving it a healthy glow.
Massage 3-4 tbsp of gel into your hair and wrap your hair with a towel. Rinse after about 25 minutes. Your hair will remineralize, and the moss helps to detoxify the scalp.
Apply on rashes, dry or damaged skin, aching feet, scars, eczema, or any other skin issues. Always apply on clean skin and rinse with cool or lukewarm water.
EXPIRATION AND SHELF LIFE:
Your gel was made on the same day it was shipped. Therefore, you are receiving the gel in its freshest form. If stored properly, your gel will last up to 20 days from the date you receive it. You shouldn’t smell it in your refrigerator, even leaving it uncovered. If you begin to smell your moss, it is beginning to expire.
