Cloves are the aromatic flower buds that come from an evergreen tree. The herb is also found in both whole and ground forms. This versatile spice can be used to season vegetables, add flavor to hot beverages, and bring spicy warmth to cookies and cakes. We will take a deeper look into cloves and the benefits it has on our bodies and some of its practical uses.

CLOVES ARE HIGH IN ANTIOXIDANTS

Cloves are very rich in antioxidants, and if you didn't know, antioxidants are compounds that reduce imbalances between free radicals and antioxidants in your body, which can contribute to the development of many chronic diseases. Implementing cloves into your diet along with other antioxidant-rich foods can help improve your overall health.


CLOVES FIGHTS BACTERIA

As you guys know bad bacteria can be extremely harmful to our bodies. Cloves have been shown to have antimicrobial properties, meaning they can help stop the growth of microorganisms like bacteria. CLOVES IN TEA FORM AND YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM


A cup of clove tea before lunch or dinner can stimulate blood flow and improve saliva production for better digestion of food. Apart from this, clove tea boosts gastric secretions and possesses analgesic properties that combat acidity and stomach pain caused due to indigestion or flatulence. Clove tea has been used since ancient times to kill intestinal parasites. The presence of anti-inflammatory compounds in cloves is responsible for clearing parasites from the body and relieving its symptoms, namely abdominal pain and upset stomach.


CLOVES AND ORAL HEALTH


Due to the anti-inflammatory properties of cloves, it works wonders for a toothache due to swollen gums. Clove is found to even stop the growth of bacteria that could end up causing gum diseases such as gingivitis. In the event, you find yourself in pain from a tooth abscess or minor inflammation take one small drop of clove oil and olive oil on a cotton swab and hold it on the site. Within moments you will begin to feel the pain alleviate.
